- To publish and introduce in-depth scientific research on finance and accounting, serving the training, research, and teaching needs of the Academy of Finance.
- To propagate the policies of the Party and the State of Vietnam, as well as those of the Ministry and the Finance sector, in the fields of finance, education, training, and economic development, and to introduce research results on theory and practice that contribute to legal documents of the Ministry and the Finance sector, such as tax policy and land policy, both domestically and internationally.
- To exchange information on theoretical and practical issues, analyze and forecast trends, and propose solutions to current socio-economic development issues of Vietnam, the region, and the world.
- To coordinate with units in the Finance sector and ministerial-level agencies to organize seminars for discussing and propagating new policies of the Party and State.
